How far in advance do I need to order?
One day notice is normally all that’s needed. However its possible that we may be able to deliver the same day if were not that busy. We will try our best to meet your requested delivery time, however we can not guarantee a time, if a dumpster is needed first thing in the morning its always good to schedule delivery for the day before.
What does the price include?
The price includes a one time delivery, and pick up of a selected dumpster size, up to an allotted weight of material, and a 14 day loading time. For example a 30 yard has a 4 ton weight allowance.
Will I be billed for extra weight?
Yes, if you go over the your allotted weight. An addition charge of $67 per ton will be applied for each ton over the allowance (for example over 4 tons on a 30 yard). Price is prorated, so 1/2 ton over would be $33.50.
Dirt/Concrete/etc. is extremely heavy and should not be mixed with other construction debris.
Can you handle large projects/jobs?
Yes, whether you’re a homeowner in need of a one time dumpster, or a contractor in need of multiple dumpsters per day, its not a problem. We have handled numerous Fire/Demolition jobs in the past, including:
- 2007 when there were two major fires in Washington DC (Georgetown Library and Eastern Market), we were there promptly with dumpsters, and serviced them promptly throughout the course of the jobs.
What if I need my dumpster longer/picked up sooner?
Rental is up to 14 days, however we do not schedule the pick up automatically, you must call/email us to schedule the pickup. If your ready sooner, just let us know. If you need it longer, the charge is $7.00 per day over, however if its just a couple days we normally don’t worry about it.
So what should I do with Dirt/Concrete?
Do to the extreme weight, this material should always be kept separate from other material when possible. If you have a larger amount you can use a 20 yard dumpster, and fill it one half full, and there will be no over weight charge. However it must not be mixed with any other debris, and can not be over half full due to weight regulations (Our drivers will not pick it up!).
What about Trees/Brush or Metal?
If you have a large amount of Trees/Brush, or Metal you can keep those types of material in separate dumpsters to avoid the overage fee as well. (Metal is hauled to a scrap yard, and we’ll credit you the amount they pay!).
What can not be placed in the dumpster?
Hazard Waste, including but not limited to, Asbestos, Railroad ties, Liquid Waste, etc.
Tires & Mattress will be charged an additional fee!
Dirt/Concrete mixed with trash/construction debris - they should be in separate dumpsters.
What are my payment options?
Major credit cards - American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa.
Cash/Check in some circumstances. Call to discuss.
Where can I fill the dumpster to?
All dumpsters need to be covered when transporting the material to the landfill, therefore dumpsters must be level with the top of the rim or lower. (With the exception of Dirt/Concrete; May only be 1/2 full in a 20 yard dumpster)
Is weekend (Saturday/Sunday) or Night work available?
It can be arranged if the job requires it, however there may be an additional surcharge. Call to discuss.
